Y13 students take part in the UK Chemistry Olympiad

The year 13 chemistry students took part in the UK Chemistry Olympiad this year. This is a chemistry competition run by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) which is designed to challenge and inspire chemistry students and also to develop their critical thinking skills. The following students participated in round one of the 58th annual competition:  Enioluwa Olanrewaju, Mitchell Inyang and Aleyna Matnish. The students represented Leigh Academy Ebbsfleet and completed a written test on their contextual knowledge of chemistry in real life. We are pleased to announce that based on their high scores Enioluwa and Aleyna received bronze awards and Mitchell received a gold award. A big congratulations to their hard work!
