Ebbsfleet Academy is delighted to share the results of this year’s GCSEs. Figures indicate exceptional achievements across a range of subjects with a continuing improving trend in KS4 results and numbers of students achieving the EBacc.
Ebbsfleet Academy is driven to ensure that all students go on to the further education or career pathways of their choice and this year’s Year 11 cohort has been a very motivated group. The teaching and pastoral teams have thoroughly enjoyed working with them and there have again been some exceptional performances across the range of subjects including English, Triple Science, Citizenship, Computer Science, Food Technology, Textiles, RE and PE. We are especially proud of the RE outcomes where 60% of the students secured a grade 5 or above, with four of these students achieving an exceptional 8 and 9 grade.
The following students have achieved an Average Point Score between grades 8 to 6, which is an outstanding achievement: Tobi, Marvel, Jay, Aliyah, Kailashnath, Jaiza, Ivayo, Nicole, Threem, Jayden, Favour, Ruth, Josh, Jadesola, Esma, Cullum, Ameena and Oluwasayo. The combined number of grades 9-7 secured by these students was a very impressive 117; particular mention goes to Tobi, Marvel and Jay, whose grades were all above a 7.
- Tobi: nine passes, eight of which were grade 8 or 9.
- Marvel: nine passes, five of which were grade 8 or 9.
- Jay: nine passes, eight of which were grade 8.
Every year at Ebbsfleet we celebrate our community language outcomes for students taking GCSEs in their home language. These students, some taking exams as early as Year 10, have achieved exceptional results with a 100% grade 5-9 pass rate in the following subjects: French, German, Greek, Polish, Punjabi, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Urdu, and Italian.
Principal, Gurjit Kaur Shergill commented:
“These outcomes are yet again a demonstration of the firm belief embedded in the academy that there is no ceiling to what our young people can achieve. They represent the hard work, determination and fortitude demonstrated by our students and staff on a daily basis. For every one of our students, whether they are taking up a place in our Sixth Form provision, moving on to another educational context, starting an apprenticeship or pursuing a different pathway, we are pleased that these results represent an exceptional start and will ensure their success for the future. Congratulations to all our students and on behalf of the whole Ebbsfleet Academy family, we wish you the very best for the future; I look forward to welcoming so many students back in September to begin their post-16 studies with us! I am immensely proud of the hard work and efforts of my entire staff, governors and of course the students and their parents in pulling together to achieve the best results possible, enabling our students to transition securely and with confidence into the next stage of their educational journey and future career success.”
