Beyond the Classroom: Exploring Faith in Gravesend

Our Year 10 Religious Studies students recently stepped out of the classroom to explore Gravesend’s diverse spiritual landscape. The day centered on a visit to the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara—a global architectural landmark—followed by a tour of a local historic church. By witnessing liturgical practices and community initiatives like the Langar firsthand, students successfully connected their GCSE theory to real-world application. This immersive experience moved beyond exam preparation, fostering a deeper respect for how ancient traditions actively enrich our local community.
